Update!

Well we have been in touch with Diabetes UK and they are sending us a massive pack full of sticker for car, T-shirts, sponsor forms, everything to get us started!

Things are taking shape now, just gotta get travel and hotel arrangements sorted now!

New Beast!

Well the 405 never worked out, due to the prick saying 'it was sold to a mate round the corner'.

Nevertheless we have persevered and found another beast.

Current Update!

Nick here

After searching for hours on ebay, looking at millions of wrecks, we have narrowed our search down to a particular vehicle

Deciding to run a Ford mondeo as I have owned 2 of these cars now, I know they are reliable and the parts are quite cheap for them. I have also gained 3 years technical knowledge on the mondeo.

currently bidding on a 2.0si hatch back, current bid, £1.70
needs a new front wing and light, but becuause of great scrap yards round here, this will not be a problem!

will keep u all posted

Nick

Weve gone Ebay mad!!!!

Well me and Nick have gone a bit ebay mad today! Bidded on about 10 no reserve ebay cars, some have failed to meet reserve, however were winning on 3 of them. What do you think?

1989 Volvo 740 2.0 Estate in white (suits our planned theme better) 209k. Currently at 51 quid!

1990 Ford seirra Automatic saloon 2.0 Blue. Currently at 51 quid!

1993 Ford Mondeo 2.0 saloon. Currently at 35 quid but doesn need work.

Wonder which will win...lets hope not all three or else we're welding them all together!

Disaster!

A potential bargain lost!!

1993 Ford Mondeo TD estate in white

Shocking miles at 350,000!!!!

Been stood for a fair while

Offered to us for a bargain price of 1p!!! thats right 1p!!! If there is an award for cheapest banger we might have had a chance of winning! All it had to do was start.......

It failed to start!

Nick, expert on his Modeos suspects immobiliser trouble, oh no.....

Back to the drawing board!

Our rides!!

Even though we are still looking for our banger, two of us still drive around everyday! So i thought i would show you our everday rides, first mine :)

Dont laugh, but i drive a 2001 tastefully modded Fiat Seicento Sporting! 54BHP of italian horsepower from its ultra huge 1.1 engine!

The things ive done to it include the duplex exhaust, very rare as is custom made, so that is the only one in existence probably, the tinted windows, the aftermarket alloys, CD MP3 player, Sat Nav, debadged rear

Under the engine pretty much standard apart from some Magnecor KV85 ignition leads which make it rev a lot smoother and idle a lot better.

An active member of one of Fiats many car clubs, www.fiatforum.com. You will also find Courtser of Team Bohemia or Bust on there too, in his swanky Grande Punto.....which he managed to lock his keys inside at the last Fiat Forum big meet lol!

A couple of pics for you

Heres Nicks ride I dont know much about it as he has just bought it in the last few days.

1998 BMW 318 coupe with the 1.9 engine. Low miles for a german machine at 90k!

Black with 19'' aftermarket alloys

Full sound system in the boot

Double exhaust system

Engine mods galore!

Very tasteful, even better in the flesh

About us!

As theres not much happening on the vehicle front at the moment I thought it would be best to talk about who we are!

Basically we are four students aged 20-22 based in the North of England! From either the red rose county of Lancashire, Gtr Manchester or the white rose county of Yorkshire

3 of us study or are about to graduate from Bolton University Nr Manchester, which is how we all came together, and how the team name was created (in case you hadn't worked it out InUNotLoB is Bolton Uni backwards!)

The team includes myself, John (Apple) Nick (Niko) John (Hak) and Johns brother Andy (errr Andy!)

We are hoping to raise money for Diabetes UK, quite a fitting charity really as i have recently been diagnosed as Type 1 diabetic at the age of 21 which is very unusual so i am told to be diagnosed at my age.

There are approximately 1 million people wandering the streets who have diabetes and not know it, visit your local lloyds pharmacy for a free test!

Welcome!

Alrate people!

Welcome to Team InUNotLoB's Blog Page!

As you well know we are now entered into Czechwrecks 2006, team number 27

Over the coming months, as the time draws nearer to the start of the rally, we will keep you updated to our team progress as well as updating you on our vehicle, the vehicle chosen, and any ''modifications'' we may do to this vehicle. Believe me theres a few in the pipeline!!

Hope you enjoy our blog and the progress we make. Please feel free to post comments as we go along!

Regards

Apple!
